Picked in Southern China this tea has a strong characteristic taste, but no tannin or astringency. In earlier times the Imperial Court would have its tea picked from the uppermost leaves of the trees by trained monkeys!
Surprisingly light and delicate in comparison to most South China Coungous. Long golden leaves are delicately twisted to make a golden infusion.
A delicate tea to be taken mid-afternoon. Good contrast to spicy cuisines.
