| The 'champagne' of teas, grown in the foothills of the
Himalayas, best picked in June and October. Gold tip Darjeeling is the cream
of the crop. |
| |
| Characteristics |
| Wonderfully delicate, full-bodied tea with a rich amber
colour, muscatel flavour and exquisite bouquet. It also has a pleasant,
lingering aftertaste. |
| |
| Drinking recommendations |
| Good in small cups taken plain, or before bed in a mug with
milk and sugar. If preparing as iced tea, let it cool before adding ice or it
will cloud. Complements Indian curries, wonderful as an after-dinner drink.
Also good with a Jambalaya. |
